Department of ParksKentucky is home to some of the most beautiful scenery and most interesting historical sites in the country. Our state park system includes 49 parks and historic sites and one interstate park with facilities for meetings and conferences, fine accommodations, camping, golf, education and much more.
Kentucky Arts Council The Kentucky Arts Council supports, through grants and technical assistance, Kentucky arts organizations, non-profit community organizations, local arts councils, local government agencies, individual artists and crafts persons. The Council's major programs are: Arts and Cultural Organizational Support, Community Arts Development, Arts in Education, Individual Artist Recognition and Support, Arts Marketing, Folk and Traditional Arts Support, Arts Directories and Honors Programs.
Kentucky Horse Park The horse park is like none other in the world. Dedicated to man's relationship with the horse, the park features two outstanding museums, twin theaters and nearly 50 different breeds of horses. All of these elements combine to make a visit to the park an enjoyable learning experience for everyone - from those unfamiliar with the horse to the horse expert.
Creative ServicesThe Office of Creative Services assists the efforts of the Commerce Cabinet and many state agencies by providing photography, audio and video production, location sound, and graphic design. The Photography Section's staff covers numerous events and assignments, and is based in a lab with custom film processing and printing services. The Audio-Video Section supplies camera crews, while also producing turn-key audio and video projects. The Multimedia Section ensures public and media events are conducted with a professional sound system, while the Graphic Arts Section designs publications, logos, and just about anything else agencies need for use in print.
