Letter from Marcheta Sparrow

It is an honor for me to serve Governor Beshear and the great people of the Commonwealth of Kentucky as Commerce Cabinet Secretary. I am a proud citizen and I appreciate the opportunity to give back to the state that has given so much to my family and me.

With a diverse set of agencies in the Commerce Cabinet, we will promote and market Kentucky like never before. We are focused on improving and promoting the things that tend to make Kentuckians so proud:

- Outdoor recreation opportunities through Parks and Fish and Wildlife;

- Tourism opportunities afforded by vast natural beauty, cultural heritage, and historical attractions;

- The wealth of creative arts and entertainment opportunities that span the Commonwealth.

Our focus on improving and promoting Kentucky's inherent assets is not only intended to create a better place for Kentuckians, but to expand our $10 billion a year tourism industry and to create an environment that is attractive to people who are starting and growing businesses.
